Implementing effective strategies to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) is a challenge for many healthcare organizations. In particular, promoting adherence to recommended hand hygiene practices in healthcare settings, which is crucial to the prevention of HAIs, is a persistent challenge. However, recent campaigns towards HAI elimination combined with technological innovations have brought hand hygiene into the spotlight at many hospitals.

We invite you to participate is this informative COCA Call, where a key CDC expert on hand hygiene and an innovator in the use of computational epidemiology in hand hygiene monitoring will discuss current issues regarding the implementation of hand hygiene recommendations, describe technological innovations for measuring hand hygiene adherence, and share global and local strategies and resources for promoting hand hygiene in the reduction of HAIs.
