2. AHRQ’s 2010 Annual Conference: September 27-29, 2010

AHRQ’s 2010 annual conference: “Better Care, Better Health: Delivering on Quality for All Americans,” September 27-29 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, in Bethesda, MD. We remain in a period of dramatic change in health care – one characterized by an acute need for information about what works best to improve quality and access to care. We also need to understand how to anticipate the challenges of tomorrow, at the same time that we are addressing today’s needs.

As a result, at the conference you will:
· Learn how AHRQ's tools and research can have an impact on health and health care
· Seek out ways to improve quality and access for underserved, under-resourced, and priority populations
· Partner with AHRQ and other stakeholders to improve care in your community
· Help shape the AHRQ’s ongoing research dissemination and implementation agenda by providing your input on AHRQ products

This year’s session’s center on five critical health care areas that form the basis of the conference agenda: transforming health care delivery; developing new patient care models; strengthening preventive care and reducing health disparities; improving quality and patient safety; and measuring and reporting on provider and system performance. In addition, we have revised our sessions to make them more interactive!

Sessions will employ a wider variety of formats to focus on the opportunity for participants to discuss the session topic with not only the presenters, but also other participants.
