The report: Provides an overview of underage drinking prevention. Summarizes the research on underage drinking prevalence and problems, and describes Federal programs addressing the issue. Analyzes 23 state underage drinking policies (e.g., keg registration and hosting underage drinking party laws). Summarizes responses from a survey of all 50 states and the District of Columbia regarding their prevention programs, efforts to enforce underage drinking laws, interagency collaborations, and state expenditures on underage drinking prevention. The data for each state are collected in a State Report, which is the most comprehensive and readily accessible summary of state underage drinking prevention activities available.
