New research on HIV prevention

This week, CDC and other major researchers from around the world came together at the annual Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) to discuss the latest developments in HIV prevention.
CDC presented a number of important studies examining progress and disparities among populations at-risk for HIV in the United States. Five studies in particular examine:
  • Progress and disparities in HIV testing, care and treatment
  • Research focused on HIV diagnoses, prevalence, and risk behaviors among gay and bisexual men
  • Research finding disparities in viral suppression among women
For more information on the findings and their implications, please see the CROI CDC Studies of Interest Document.
