Time is running out for you to comment on the draft Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap!Comments for the Interoperability Roadmap will be accepted until April 3 (that is next Friday, everyone) and we will accept comments on the Standards Advisory until May 1. And, for those of you tracking the progress of the adoption of health IT ... and you know who you are ... here is the latest meaningful use attestation data through the end of February.

ICYMI, last week ONC proposed the 2015 Edition health IT certification criteria! Please take a look at the proposed rule. If you need a short-cut of the proposed rule, check out this thishandy fact sheet. We also issued the draft 2015 Edition certification test procedures, which you can find at HealthIT.gov. The comment period for the proposed test procedures closes on June 30, 2015.

Health IT Safety Webinar Series

Join us on April 23, 2015 1:00-2:30 pm EDT for the fifth webinar of a 10-part series on health information technology (IT) and patient safety, "CPOE, CDS and Health IT Safety". This free webinar presents perspectives on computerized provider order entry (CPOE) and clinical decision support (CDS) and how these systems impact patient safety. Presenters are David W. Bates, M.D., M.Sc., Chief Innovation Officer and Senior Vice President, Brigham and Women's Hospital; Chief, Division of General Internal Medicine, Brigham and Women's Hospital; Medical Director of Clinical and Quality Analysis, Partners HealthCare and David Classen, M.D., M.S., Chief Medical Information Officer, Pascal Metrics; Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah.

Federal Advisory Committee Schedule Week of March 30 (all times EDT)

The FACA schedule for the upcoming week is here:
Monday The Health IT Policy Committee's (#HITPC) Privacy & Security Workgroup meets Monday at 2pm. Check back for the agenda.
Wednesday The Health IT Standards Committee's (#HITSC) Semantic Standards Workgroup meets at noon. Find the Web conference and dial-in materials online.
Thursday At noon the #HITPC Health IT Strategy & Innovation Workgroup meets. The agenda and meeting materials will be posted prior to the meeting.

This is followed at 2:30pm by the #HITPC Interoperability & HIE Workgroup. Find the dial-in and web conference information online and check back for more details.
Friday The #HITSC Content Standards Workgroup kicks off its meeting at 11am. The WG will post its agenda prior to the meeting.

Our FACA volunteers wrap the week with an #HITPC Health IT Implementation, Usability & Safety Workgroup meeting at 2:30pm. Watch for more details and the dial in and Web conference information is on our meeting page.

FCC/FDA Wireless Medical Test Bed Workshop

On Tuesday, March 31, 2015, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will host a public workshop on the role of wireless medical test beds and their influence on the development of converged medical technology for clinical and non-clinical settings.
