April 2015 CMS National Training Program Update

CMS Adds Star Ratings to Hospital Compare CMS plans to begin publicly reporting Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) Star Ratings on Hospital Comparelater this month. The HCAHPS survey is a standardized survey instrument and data collection methodology that has been in use since 2006 to measure patients' perspectives on hospital care. The HCAHPS results will allow consumers to make fair and objective comparisons between hospitals and patients' perspectives of care.
