Computerised clinical decision support systems to improve medication safety in long-term care homes: a systematic review.

Marasinghe KM. BMJ Open. 2015;5:e006539.

This systematic review of clinical decision support in long-term care facilities found promising improvements in prescribing decisions and reduced risk of injury, though the author reports that further well-designed observational and intervention studies are needed to optimize decision support for such settings. A prior AHRQ WebM&M commentary discussed patient safety in long-term care.
