NIAID Helps Launch First “African Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics” (ACE) in Mali

New Bioinformatics Research Center Launched in Mali

The first African Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics (ACE) was launched at the University of Sciences, Techniques, and Technology of Bamako (USTTB) in Mali, West Africa, with the help of NIAID and other collaborators.

The USTTB is recognized for its infectious disease research, and the ACE provides infrastructure, tools, training, and mentorship to conduct advanced, large-scale bioinformatics research.
