PBRNs_Health Care Systems  AHRQs Practice-based Research Network (PBRN) Business Opportunities with Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and Other Health Care Systems: Training and Technical Assistance guide highlights business strategies that support PBRNs (and others) to identify potential business arrangements for providing training and technical assistance to other health organizations including ACOs, which leverages PBRN’s real-world analytical skills to assess and address opportunities for quality improvement.
Increasingly, accountable care organizations (ACOs), public health departments, and other health-related entities are required to initiate, assess, and report quality improvement (QI) efforts. Our evolving health care landscape requires QI expertise that Practice-based Research Networks (PBRNs) and others possess, and could help meet increased expectations for QI capabilities including data analysis, standardized reporting, practice transformation and payment reform.
