Important Notice About the ICID

Dear Members of the ISID, It has come to my attention that an organization calling itself the World Academy of Science, Engineering, and Technology or "WASET" is promoting and marketing a conference called "ICID 2017" in Sydney. Please be advised neither the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) nor the International Congress on Infectious Diseases are associated with WASET or "ICID 2017." The next International Congress on Infectious Diseases organized by the ISID will take place in 2018; an announcement on the dates and location will be made in September.   Please note WASET has been labeled a predatory publisher, i.e. an exploitative open-access publishing business charging publication fees to authors without providing the editorial and publishing services associated with legitimate journals. Furthermore, information available on the internet indicates WASET willfully attempts to confuse people by choosing names and acronyms similar to those of legitimate conferences.
