Proposed requirements related to pain assessment and management for the hospital accreditation program.

Poor pain management can contribute to patients' misuse of opioids. In an effort to address this issue, The Joint Commission is seeking insights regarding pain practice requirements that align with their accreditation efforts. The deadline for submitting comments is February 20, 2017.
