Specialized Health Care Homes for Youth and Young Adults With Complex Behavioral Health Needs: Innovations and Directions

Wednesday, June 6, 2018 | 12 p.m.–1 p.m. Eastern Time
SAMHSA invites you to join a webinar about providing specialized health care homes to youth and young adults with complex behavioral needs. Nearly one in 10 children in the United States has a serious emotional disorder and this number expands when we consider youth in transition and young adults with complex behavioral and physical health concerns. These young people often need a variety of services and supports, which makes care coordination imperative. This webinar explores how health homes can be customized for children and young adults with serious behavioral health challenges and offers successful examples from two states: New Jersey and Oklahoma. Participants will learn why this approach is useful to young people and their families, how these programs can be successfully implemented, and what technical assistance resources are available.
