Funding Opportunity for States: Maternal Depression and Related Behavioral Disorders

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is currently accepting applications for the FY 2018 Screening and Treatment for Maternal Depression and Related Behavioral Disorders program. This is an opportunity for the establishment, improvement, or maintenance of programs expanding providers’ capacity to screen, assess, treat, and refer pregnant and postpartum women for maternal depression and related behavioral health disorders. The goal of the program is to improve the mental health and well-being of pregnant and postpartum women through increased access to treatment and recovery support services, including in rural and medically underserved areas.
HRSA anticipates awarding up to $650,000 per year over a five-year project period for up to seven cooperative agreements. Eligible applicants are state governments, including the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.
Letters of intent are due July 16, 2018, and applications must be submitted electronically via Grants.gov by August 6, 2018. Visit the HRSA website to learn more about the funding opportunity.
