HHS has a plan to reduce the pain of EHRs

Attention all clinicians annoyed by electronic health records: HHS has unveiled a draft plan to ease the administrative burden of using the software. The federal health agency's strategy, which was required by the 21st Century Cures Act, outlines steps it thinks can cut down on all the time spent checking boxes or meeting documentation requirements instead of tending to patients. The draft strategy is open for public comments through Jan. 28, 2019.
