Vaping epidemic a major threat to public health

12th November 2019: The CDC has identified a form of Vitamin E as a very strong culprit in lung injuries related to vaping THC. Samples taken from the lungs of 29 patients, including 2 who died, "provided evidence of vitamin E acetate at the primary site of injury in the lungs."
Nearly 1,300 possible cases of lung illness associated with e-cigarettes have been reported across the US. Although a cause has not been identified and a clear connection between the reported deaths has not been made, all cases have used e-cigarettes, with some also containing cannabinoid products.
The FDA is taking action to stop what is being called a vaping epidemic.
