And in the present day, video gaming is a ‘global uniter’ in many countries around the world. This session will focus on lessons learned on important cultural considerations for behavioral health providers to take into account as they have gambling- or gaming- related conversations, be that with clients or the general public. The intention of this session is to equip the behavioral health provider with tools to be able to integrate conversations about gambling and gaming, by creating a “safe space” to talk about them with cultural humility and sensitivity.
