Pharmacotherapy for Adults With Alcohol Use Disorder in Outpatient Settings: Systematic Review: Since the 2014 report on medications for alcohol use disorder, the literature has grown and a synthesis that incorporates new evidence could improve estimates of the benefits and harms of medications for alcohol use disorder, thus, optimizing clinical decision making. By improving clinical decision making, an updated review could potentially improve the health and welfare of persons with alcohol use disorder.
