In world first, Nigeria introduces new 5-in-1 vaccine against meningitis

The WHO recommended the vaccine for campaigns in the country, a part of “Africa’s meningitis belt,” based partly on positive interim results from a trial run by the NIAID-supported Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Consortium (IDCRC).
