According to officials at the state Department of Social Services, SNAP enrollments in Connecticut have dropped by about 35,000 since December, tied in part to new federal work requirements. The CT Mirror reported on the stark reversal in resettlement policies demonstrated by the new federal policy affecting refugee food assistance, as an estimated 1,745 refugees and asylum seekers are expected to lose food aid in Connecticut.
