Latest New Hampshire Healthcare-Associated Infections Annual Reports

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public Health Services (DPHS) released its 2013 annual reports describing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) in New Hampshire hospitals [PDF - 4.2 MB] and HAIs in New Hampshire Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) [PDF - 1.5 MB].
	The reports present data on the occurrence of specific HAIs, including central line-associated bloodstream infections, catheter-associated urinary tract infections, and surgical site infections. The reports also provide data on hospitals’ and ASCs’ compliance with measures that help protect patients from HAIs. Both reports indicate New Hampshire hospitals and ASCs are showing improvement when compared to national data.
