Disaster responders working in minority communities should provide and connect survivors with culturally appropriate, high-quality mental health education, tools, and support. The resources in this product provide information on the effects of disasters on Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and American Indian and Alaska Native communities, to highlight the importance of multicultural disaster planning and culturally competent mental health supports.
