Recognition Standards – Modifications to the List of Recognized Standards, Recognition List Number: 050

Today, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing the publication, “Modifications to the List of Recognized Standards, Recognition List Number: 050.” This publication will assist manufacturers who elect to declare conformity with consensus standards to meet certain requirements for medical devices. These notices describe the addition, withdrawal, and revision of certain standards recognized by FDA.

The FDA regularly updates the list of national and international voluntary consensus standards recognized for use in satisfying portions of device premarket review submissions or other requirements.  If you have any questions about these standards, please contact the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health Standards Program at CDRHStandardsStaff@fda.hhs.gov.
