| How do laws affect public health? The transdisciplinary field of legal epidemiology gives us a way to answer this question scientifically. Using the tools of legal epidemiology, however, requires new skills and competencies. Developed through a partnership between CDC, ChangeLab Solutions, and the Policy Surveillance Program at Temple University’s Center for Public Health Law Research, the Legal Epidemiology Center features trainings and resources to teach you those skills. The center provides a brief introduction to legal epidemiology and includes resources for researchers, educators, students, and practitioners at health departments.
