During epidemics and public health emergencies, decision-makers make timely decisions to save lives, and they make these decisions while faced with many uncertainties and limited information. This 68-page document describes epidemic analysis for response decision-making (ERD), which is a practical process for informing response decisions by systematically and logically organizing multi-source information to optimize assessment of epidemic situation. ERD aims to justify and inform decisions based on how surveillance data are synthesized and interpreted, and helps to reduce the chances of misinterpreting the situation. (PDF)
