From the Director's Desk
Dear Partnership Center Friends:
Remarkably, it has been one year since the opioid crisis was declared a national health emergency.
To honor the innovative, groundbreaking, and promising work made by the business, health and nonprofit sectors, the Administration hosted over 20 organizations at the White House. That same day, the President also signed into law significant opioid-related legislation, and the HHS Office of Civil Rights launched a public education campaign aimed at improving access to substance-abuse disorder treatment and recovery services. On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced significant funding to aid youth and children, especially those who encounter opioid-related events. Please be sure to review the other exciting updates we've detailed below.
For up-to-the-minute content and resources, please be sure to connect with us on Twitter® andFacebook® . We also have a library of webinars on our YouTube® channel, as well as our Opioid Epidemic Practical Toolkit, which we encourage you can share with those in your spheres of influence.
