This 10-page policy brief examines domestic, foreign, and technological aspects of solutions to potential food crises related to climate change. It discusses how the impacts of extreme events due to climate change, such as droughts, floods, and typhoons, along with the temperature rise due to global warming, are especially important for food security. The challenges and impacts of climate change on agriculture include typhoon damage to food crops, cattle, and agricultural facilities, and reduced plant and livestock growth due to cold. (PDF)

This 32-page report provides information about a study of unaccompanied and separated children in Haiti following Hurricane Matthew in 2016. It was part of the Measuring Separation in Emergencies (MSiE) project, to strengthen emergency response programs for unaccompanied and separated children through the development of practical, field-tested tools to enhance the assessment of the scale and nature of separation in emergencies. It is an interagency initiative funded by the USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) and is coordinated by Save the Children in partnership with Columbia University. (PDF)
