The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today announced the following actions taken in its ongoing response effort to the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Today, the FDA issued a statement, “Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: FDA Continues to Ensure Availability of Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizer During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Address Safety Concerns,” to discuss the Agency’s efforts to increase availability of alcohol-based hand sanitizer and the importance of making hand sanitizer unpalatable to people, including children, through the use of denatured alcohol.
