The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) mission is to produce evidence to make health care safer, higher quality, more accessible, equitable, and affordable, and to work within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and with other partners to make sure that the evidence is understood and used. The Center for Evidence and Practice Improvement (CEPI) generates new knowledge, synthesizes evidence, translates science on what works in health and healthcare delivery, and catalyzes practice improvement across healthcare settings.
AHRQ is hiring a Physician who focuses on aging to conceptualize and conduct research; serve as a Program Official for extramural grants related to aging and practice improvement with a focus on geriatric clinical care including people living with multiple chronic conditions, care transitions, long-term care, patient/caregiver engagement, and innovative models of care for older adults; and manage and evaluate dissemination and implementation projects to increase the uptake and use of effective interventions and models of care for older adults.
We are looking for a team player who can facilitate practice transformation and improvement in diverse settings, oversee implementation and assessment of innovative models of practice improvement for older adults, engage stakeholders and communities of learning for practice improvement, and serve as a trusted source for tools, methods, measures, and evaluation of practice improvement focused on the needs of an aging population.
The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, and at least 4 years of graduate training in aging or a combination of training and equivalent experience.
