Much has been written about the infamous bribery scandal involving GSK in China, in which the drug maker was fined $500 million for bribing Chinese doctors and giving kickbacks to hospital workers to boost drug sales. The company even identified the suspected whistleblower who prompted the investigation.
Now, however, new evidence indicates GSK found the wrong person — and the real whistleblower is still in the shadows. In other words, a global corporation with enormous resources missed its real target.
