This tiny Texas company is running most of the drive-thru Covid-19 testing in the U.S.

Executives from LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics stood alongside President Trump at a Rose Garden event in March as he declared the government would be partnering with those companies to create drive-thru Covid-19 testing sites. But it's actually a tiny Texas company — one that has never been invited to Washington — that is running most of those sites. The company, called eTrueNorth, isn't conducting the tests or even employing the staff administering them. Instead, eTrueNorth is playing a mediator of sorts, overseeing the patchwork of pharmacy staff, clinical labs, and technical infrastructure to run Covid-19 tests in the U.S. More than $80 million in federal contracts is helping eTrueNorth manage more than 350 testing sites. STAT's Kate Sheridan has more here.
