PBS NewsHour to investigate universal health care in new series
Starting tonight, PBS NewsHour will air a five-part series on universal health care. Even before the pandemic, "Medicare For All" was a regular feature of the Democratic primary debates held last year, and the topic is likely to be brought up again in these final months before the 2020 U.S. presidential election. The series will compare health care in the U.S. and three other high-income nations — the U.K., Switzerland, and Australia — to try and answer how these countries offer cheaper care to more of their citizens, and with better medical outcomes.
