Older adults are increasingly using telehealthcare, smartphone apps, and other digital healthcare technologies to access care, maintain patient-provider communication, and promote chronic disease self-management. During Older Adults Month, the AHRQ Digital Healthcare Research Program (DHR) is recognizing the vital importance of making older adults’ health and wellbeing a priority. Below is a sample of AHRQ-funded research that aims to improve care and health outcomes for older adults through digital healthcare technologies.
