Ruhr University Bochum maintains his academic homepage— a museum exhibit of early internet design: left-aligned black text, sea-green background, minimal graphics, maximum seriousness. In 1968, Braess published a paper with the magnificently German title Über ein Paradoxon aus der Verkehrsplanung — "On a Paradox of Traffic Planning" — and in it described a problem that has been shaping our daily lives ever since.
