Most respondents were aged 45 years or older, in a committed relationship, and practicing in an urban setting. They relied on their partners for venting about work problems and also revealed how work often got in the way of their relationships. Those who were single expressed difficulties in meeting potential partners, and all respondents weighed in on issues such as having affairs, having sex in the workplace, and whether being physicians made them more or less desirable as romantic partners.
