2017 Results from CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey Now Available
New results from AHRQ’s CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey 2017 data submission are now available.
AHRQ’s CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey asks patients about their recent experiences with clinicians and their staff in doctors’ offices. The 2017 CG-CAHPS Database includes 366,994 surveys submitted by 3,443 practice sites. Results are based on the voluntary submission of survey data by health systems, medical practices, and other survey sponsors administering the CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey 3.0.
CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey Results:
- "How Well Providers Communicate with Patients" was the highest scoring measure and "Getting Timely Appointments, Care, and Information” scored the lowest.
- Pulmonary Medicine and Hematology/Oncology have among the highest scores across specialties for all composite measures.
- Small practices with only one provider scored higher on “Getting Timely Appointments, Care, and Information” than practices with 2 or more providers.
Users can view results via an online reporting system, Chartbook, research datasets or selected results.
