Purchase HCUP Data

AHRQ Releases 2016 Kids’ Inpatient Database

AHRQ has released its newest Kids' Inpatient Database (KID), the largest publicly available, all-payer pediatric inpatient care database in the United States. The 2016 KID includes a full calendar year of hospital discharge data from more than two million hospital stays reported using the ICD-10-CM/PCS coding system. The resource, part of AHRQ’s Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), is designed to develop national and regional estimates for pediatric hospitalization and for conducting analyses of rare conditions. Applications are available to purchase HCUP nationwide and state-level databases through the HCUP Central Distributor.
