These interactive training webinars are stand-alone events covering “Module 1-Understanding Medicare.” Attendance on both days isn’t required and space is limited. The number of CEUs you can earn each day is 0.2 (2 hours). If you attend both days of training, you can earn 0.4 (4 hours) total CEUs. Topics for each day include:
- Day 1—Explains Medicare enrollment and eligibility; the roles and responsibilities of the agencies responsible for Medicare; cost and coverage under Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance); why enrolling on time is important; an overview of Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) policies; and the basics of Part D (Medicare prescription drug coverage).

- Day 2—Explains Medicare Advantage Plans; coordination of benefits; how to detect and report suspected Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse; different resources to help you find answers to Medicare policy and coverage questions.
