A farewell to Pew’s drug pricing shop
The Pew Charitable Trusts has decided to end its Drug Spending Research Institute, STAT has learned.
“Like all of our projects, this work was approved for a set period of time with specific goals and deliverables,” a Pew spokesperson confirmed to STAT. “With that said, we’re proud of the research we accomplished to provide policymakers with nonpartisan information on the factors that influence drug spending.”
The group, which was headed by Allan Coukell, provided a slew of invaluable analysis to policy makers and journalists alike. Their work will be missed.
