Faith-based recovery support service providers, which offer essential wrap-around services and long-term recovery housing, are partnering with clinical providers to create access to medically-supervised detox and MAT treatment.  Mike Rogers, Executive Director of Higher Ground Recovery in Missouri, shares how Higher Ground has been able to offer comprehensive services — all while staying grounded in a culture of faith.

Data research performed for Chicago, IL, revealed a troubling trend: In neighborhoods surrounding Rush University Medical Center, the rates of opioid-use disorder and opioid-related deaths surpassed city and national averages. Contrary to popular belief in the medical community, Niranjan Karnik, M.D., PhD, says faith-based programs and partners are actually in unique positions to help advance the science of addiction treatment and recovery.
