MDM Announcement | First MDM Quarterly Training Event | 04/02/2019

Hello MDM Data Product Users,

The MDM Team welcomes you to join us for the first MDM Quarterly Training Event of the 2019 calendar  year.

Training Event: MDM Alignment Process Training

For this training event, we are planning to cover MDM’s Program, Organization, and Relationship (POR) domain. As the central data repository for the CMS Payment models, MDM captures Beneficiary and Provider alignment period information for alignment overlaps evaluations, especially for Shared Savings Based models, in it’s POR domain. This data is then made available to business users for Overlap Operations and Analysis.

• Part 1: MDM Payment Model Training For General Audience (90 mins) (1:00 – 2:30 PM, ET)

This session is intended for a general audience such as business owners, model teams and other business entities. We will cover the overall concepts of MDM at CMS and how MDM is helping with the Agency mission. A deeper dive will be made into the POR domain, to shed light on Advanced Payment models implemented by CMMI and how CMMI leverages the MDM system to store data and support business functions. We will cover the stakeholders involved and their roles. Information will be provided on how users can get access to MDM system and material.

• Part 2: MDM Payment Model Data Training for Data Users and Contractors (90 mins) (2:30 – 4:00 PM, ET)

This session is intended for contractors, model teams and downstream systems who interface with MDM. We will give a walkthrough of the POR ICD and go over of how business users need to troubleshoot. We will go over the data products that MDM offers with POR data.
