Program Edition of the ONC Inferno Tool released on 4/1/2019

Inferno (https://inferno.healthit.gov/ ) is a rigorous testing suite for HL7® Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR). Inferno provides a comprehensive testing framework for health IT developers to implement the FHIR standard consistently. There are two editions of Inferno: Inferno Program Edition and Inferno Community Edition. The Community Edition of Inferno is for general FHIR testing, with a community curated set of tests for select FHIR Implementation Guides. Developers can create test cases with Inferno Community Edition and contribute them to the community. The Program Edition is tightly bound to testing for the 21st Century Cures Act proposed standardized API for patient and population services certification criterion at § 170.315(g)(10), and can be used with the draft (g)(10) test procedure which is open for stakeholder feedback as noted above.
