Incivility and clinical performance, teamwork, and emotions: a randomized controlled trial.

This randomized controlled trial compared the performance of 58 nurses on a resuscitation simulation with or without prior exposure to incivility. Nurses exposed to incivility were more likely to make an error in administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation, adding to the evidencethat interpersonal interactions among health care staff affect safety.
