That’s the deal offered by Nebula Genomics, which just signed its first deal with a drug industry sponsor. Working alongside Merck KGaA, Nebula is offering free whole-genome sequencing to anyone who has or has had lung cancer.

This isn’t the genotyping offered by, for example 23andMe, but rather the highly accurate (and more expensive) process commonly done for clinical-grade testing. That underlines the big question about Nebula: Can it attract enough pharmaceutical sponsors to build a business on giving away genome sequencing?
