Supervisory Physician

NIAID’s Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Transplantation seeks an exceptional and motivated leader to serve as a supervisory physician in the Allergy, Asthma, and Airway Biology Branch. The supervisory physician will serve as the section chief for the Food Allergy, Atopic Dermatitis, and Allergic Mechanisms Section of AAABB. This position has a wide range of responsibilities relating to the oversight of the section’s clinical research program. The candidate, in addition to supervising the stewardship of a large number of NIH grants, will be responsible for directing two clinical networks, the Consortium for Food Allergy Research (CoFAR) and the Atopic Dermatitis Research Network (ADRN), which have produced major research findings and have led to changes in guidelines for patient care.
U.S. citizenship and an M.D. or D.O. is required. Board certification in internal medicine or pediatrics and relevant training or board certification in allergic diseases is preferred.
