Not a great weekend for Eli Lilly’s public image...

Nicole Smith-Holt, the Minnesota mother who gained national attention for her activism after her son Alec died while he was rationing his insulin, was arrested Saturday night outside the Indianapolis headquarters of Eli Lilly.
In this video, Smith-Holt can be heard chanting the names of nine people who have died from rationing insulin in recent years — including a particularly gut-wrenching cry of “my baby Alec.”
The planned arrest was part of a larger vigil organized by the insulin pricing advocacy group T1International. The vigil was attended by the families of the nine individuals who died.
This is the third year in a row T1International has protested outside of Lilly’s headquarters. This year’s event also included a two-day drug pricing advocacy training.
