NIAID seeks exceptional applicants with diverse skill sets in basic and translational infectious disease research to serve as health scientist administrators in the Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID). As a program officer, you will identify opportunities and problem areas, research gaps, and relevant program needs and make recommendations for and facilitate new research efforts, clinical studies, or other initiatives.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and demonstrate that they have worked independently in planning, organizing, and conducting biomedical behavioral health or health-related research and served effectively in research program administration in these fields.
