Tenure-Track/Tenure-Eligible Investigator

NIAID seeks an outstanding individual to develop a vigorous independent program focused on human virology that includes viral pathogenesis, with a preference for work related to the development of vaccines or antivirals, in the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases.
Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field with extensive postdoctoral experience, as well as a strong publication record demonstrating potential for creative research. The ideal candidate should have expertise in human virology and/or viral immunology and will be expected to develop a vigorous research program that includes basic and translational research on medically relevant viruses or vaccine immunology.
