Letter to Mental Health Commissioners
SAMHSA is pleased to clarify that Mental Health Block Grant funds can be used to treat those with serious mental illness (SMI) who are incarcerated. This is key to addressing SMI in our nation and we look forward to working with states to implement this new clarification.
