Postdoctoral Fellow – Protein Aggregation in Neurodegenerative Diseases


The NIAID TSE/Prion Biochemistry Section is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher interested in molecular aspects of neurodegenerative protein misfolding diseases. The laboratory provides a rich training environment in protein biochemistry, cell biology, and the use of animal models, with access to cutting-edge scientific techniques, including protein purification, RT-QuIC assays, cryo-electron microscopy, FTIR and CD spectroscopies, and drug discovery.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. obtained within the last five years. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or neurology. Candidates should have a publication record in peer-reviewed journals. We are looking for candidates with excellent writing and communication skills who are able to work both independently and with other members in a productive team.
