Talking with Children About War and Other Humanitarian Crises — Webinar Monday, November 20, 2023 6:30 p.m. ET

This session will provide information on how children understand – and misunderstand – crises and how best to explain it to them in order to promote their understanding and adjustment. Group discussions (such as within classrooms) pose unique challenges; advice on how to address anger and blame in group settings will be discussed. This event is open to all mental health and school mental health professionals, including counselors, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and mental health program administrators.
